Hammer Timed Shop – Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 6 October 2026

1. Who we are

Hammer Timed Ltd (“we”, “us” or “our”) operates Hammer Timed Shop and is the seller of products purchased through our Shop checkout. We are registered in England and Wales, company number 15127819. Our VAT number is GB453543395.

Registered office and correspondence address: Beck House, 75 Hornby Road, Caton, Lancaster, Lancashire, LA2 9QR, United Kingdom.

Email: info@hammertimed.com.

Please contact us before sending goods back. Returns may need to go to a supplier’s warehouse rather than our registered office. We will provide the appropriate address promptly; this does not restrict your legal cancellation rights.

2. What these terms cover

These terms apply to purchases of physical products from Hammer Timed Shop. Our separate Marketplace advertising and brokerage terms do not apply to Shop orders.

A consumer is an individual buying wholly or mainly outside their trade, business, craft or profession. Provisions identified as business-only apply only to genuine business purchases.

Our Shop is hosted by Shopify. Products may be stored, packed and dispatched directly by third-party suppliers. Your sale contract remains with Hammer Timed Ltd. Supplier policies may give you additional benefits but cannot reduce your statutory rights or our obligations as your seller.

3. Ordering and contract formation

You must be at least 18 and authorised to place the order. Select your products, review your basket, enter accurate contact and delivery details and check the total before submitting payment. You can correct errors before completing checkout. Orders are placed in English.

Your order is an offer to purchase. An automatic order acknowledgement or payment receipt confirms receipt of that offer, not acceptance. We accept your order when we send a dispatch confirmation identifying the products accepted, unless we expressly confirm acceptance earlier. Separate dispatch confirmations may form separate contracts for the products identified in them.

Before acceptance we may decline an order for a genuine reason, such as unavailable stock, inability to deliver to your address, a material pricing error or reasonable fraud concerns. We will notify you and promptly refund any payment for products we do not accept.

We will not substitute a materially different product or increase your price without your agreement.

4. Products, prices and payment

Product pages describe the goods, available options and material specifications. Screen settings can affect colours; this does not excuse a product that is materially different from its description.

Check sizes, measurements, compatibility and intended use before ordering. Ask us if information is unclear. Nothing here removes your rights where information we supply is incorrect.

Prices are in pounds sterling and include applicable VAT. Delivery charges and any other unavoidable charges are disclosed before payment. Optional extras require your agreement. Payment methods available to you are shown at checkout.

We do not charge you an undisclosed supplier fulfilment fee.

If we discover an error before accepting your order, we will explain it and offer the correct price or cancellation and a refund. After acceptance, your legal rights and the agreed contract determine any remedy; an error does not give us an unrestricted right to cancel.

5. UK delivery and supplier fulfilment

We offer delivery only within the United Kingdom. Availability, postcode restrictions, charges and any special arrangements are shown before ordering.

An order containing goods from different suppliers may arrive in separate parcels. This will not result in extra delivery charges beyond those you agreed.

Delivery timeframes are stated on the product page or at checkout. Unless we agree a different timeframe with you, goods will be delivered without undue delay and within 30 days of contract formation.

We will tell you about material delays and take reasonable steps to resolve them. Your rights to end the contract for late delivery remain unaffected.

For consumer orders, goods normally remain at our risk until you or a person you nominate receives them. The statutory exception for a carrier independently commissioned by you may apply. A delivery scan alone does not remove your right to dispute non-delivery.

Please provide a complete delivery address and tell us promptly about an error. Any proposed charge for redelivery caused by your incorrect details must be reasonable, explained and agreed. We do not charge for correcting a delivery failure caused by us or our fulfilment arrangements.

6. Consumer cancellations and change-of-mind returns

For eligible online purchases, tell us you wish to cancel within 14 days after receiving the goods. For goods from one order delivered separately, the period normally ends 14 days after you receive the last item. You may also cancel before delivery.

Email info@hammertimed.com with a clear cancellation statement and your order details. Our optional form below is not compulsory.

Return cancelled goods within 14 days after notifying us. Contact us promptly for the correct return address. An authorisation number is helpful for administration but is not a condition of exercising your statutory right.

You pay the direct cost of a change-of-mind return unless free returns were advertised or agreed. Where goods cannot normally be returned by post, we will disclose the applicable return cost or reasonable estimate before purchase. If we fail to provide legally required return-cost information, you do not bear that cost.

You may inspect goods as you would in a shop. We may deduct for diminished value caused by handling beyond what is necessary to assess them, where legally permitted.

Original packaging is helpful but is not a blanket condition for a statutory refund. No statutory cancellation restocking fee applies.

7. Cancellation refunds and exceptions

For a valid cancellation, we refund the cancelled goods and applicable basic outbound delivery charge. Any extra cost of an upgraded delivery option is not refundable as part of the statutory cancellation refund. For partial cancellations, delivery refunds depend on the charge attributable to the cancelled goods.

We refund without undue delay and within 14 days after receiving the returned goods or evidence that you sent them, whichever is earlier. Where we collect the goods, we refund within 14 days of cancellation notification.

Refunds use the original payment method unless you expressly agree otherwise, without a refund fee.

Legal exceptions may apply to genuinely personalised or made-to-specification goods, rapidly perishable goods, and sealed goods unsuitable for return for health or hygiene reasons once unsealed.

Ordinary standard products are not automatically exempt because a supplier makes or prints them after ordering. Exceptions do not remove rights for faulty or misdescribed goods.

8. Faulty, damaged, incorrect or missing goods

Contact info@hammertimed.com with your order reference and details of the problem. Photographs may help where reasonably available. Prompt reporting helps us investigate; no short reporting deadline removes statutory rights.

Consumers are entitled to goods of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. Applicable remedies include the short-term right to reject faulty goods, normally within 30 days, and rights to repair or replacement and, where the legal conditions are met, a price reduction or final rejection.

We arrange an appropriate remedy and bear reasonable necessary costs of statutory remedies, including return or collection costs. A supplier may perform the collection, repair or replacement on our behalf.

You do not have to pursue the supplier or manufacturer instead of us, and a refund due from us is not conditional on the supplier reimbursing us first.

Supplier and manufacturer guarantees are additional to your statutory rights. Damage caused by misuse or ordinary wear does not itself establish an original defect; we will assess the circumstances fairly.

9. Safe use and product suitability

Follow applicable instructions, safety warnings, maintenance requirements and lawful installation requirements. Obtain competent professional advice where a product requires specialist fitting or use.

Do not continue using goods you reasonably suspect are unsafe. We remain responsible for inaccurate descriptions, binding suitability advice and duties imposed on us by law.

10. Business purchases

Business buyers do not receive consumer cooling-off rights merely because they order online. Change-of-mind business returns are available only where advertised or expressly agreed. Rights for breach of contract and any applicable statutory protections remain.

Subject to liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and only where lawful and reasonable, we exclude indirect or consequential business losses. No blanket exclusion removes our obligation to deliver the agreed goods or an applicable refund.

Any additional business-specific arrangement must be agreed before ordering.

11. Our responsibility

For consumers, we are responsible for foreseeable loss caused by our contractual breach or failure to exercise reasonable care and skill. Loss is foreseeable where it is obvious or both parties knew it might occur when contracting.

We are not responsible for business losses arising from goods supplied under a consumer purchase for personal use.

Nothing excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, defective products where liability cannot be excluded, or any other non-excludable responsibility. Your statutory consumer and data protection rights remain intact.

Events outside our reasonable control may delay fulfilment. We will communicate material effects and take reasonable steps to minimise them. This does not permit indefinite delays or retention of payment where you are legally entitled to cancel or receive a refund.

12. Privacy and communications

Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information. We use necessary order details to process payments, fulfil deliveries and administer returns, including sharing relevant details with Shopify, payment providers, suppliers and couriers as described in that policy.

Accepting these terms is not blanket consent to marketing or non-essential cookies. Necessary order communications are separate from optional marketing.

Shop mailing-list subscriptions are managed separately from Marketplace subscriptions; you can unsubscribe from Shop marketing at any time.

13. Complaints

Email info@hammertimed.com with your order reference, the issue and the remedy sought, or write to our correspondence address above.

We aim to acknowledge complaints within five working days and provide a substantive response within 20 working days. If more time is needed, we explain why. These targets do not extend statutory refund or remedy deadlines.

If a complaint remains unresolved, we will supply any alternative dispute resolution information required by law and explain whether we are obliged or willing to participate. We do not claim membership of an unverified scheme. Your right to seek independent advice or use the courts remains.

14. Changes and governing law

The terms supplied when you order apply to that order. Later website updates do not retrospectively change an existing contract. Keep your order confirmation and a copy of these terms. If a clause is unenforceable, the remainder applies so far as legally possible.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Consumers retain mandatory protections and rights to bring proceedings in the UK jurisdiction where they live. Business disputes are subject to the courts of England and Wales.

15. Optional cancellation form

Complete this only if you wish to cancel an eligible contract. You may instead send any clear cancellation statement.
